Abstract

This work presents the simulated modeling of optical transmission network for improved transport of electronic health records. The aim is to optimize interoperability of health data between hospitals at the speed of light and enhance quality of health care services. This was achieved using materials such as optic fiber, photo converters, filters, amplifiers, regenerators, isolators, and optisystem software. The result when simulated showed that data were able to be transmission between 54KM at the speed of 186,282 miles/secs which is very good.
